Waiting.... 04/19/2010

Hello everyone.  We are now in the phase of waiting until more orders arrive or we attend our next scheduled event.  April is slow but this will give us a chance to catch up on the business.  We are expecting our watch faces this week and then we will begin creating and manufacturing watches with paracord bands for you to purchase.  This is really exciting because we have had many that have been interested in this product and we have been unable to provide this to them.  Now, we have listened to our customers and will be providing the watches.  Order your watch soon so you will be one of the first to have one!
Our next event will not be until the end of May unless something else comes up.  We were hoping for more boy scout troops to schedule workshops but at this time, we have only had one troop in Columbus and they had an awesome time.  They will be taking their new survival bracelets with them on their next trip camping.
Well, until later, take care and post your comments.  See you soon!

Hello to everyone!  This last weekend in Columbus at the RV Show was fun, exciting, and tiring.  It was a good show and we are really glad that we have participated in the Odyssey Events over the last three months.  We wish them well in their continued success of their business.  Now, for us, continue on to our next craft show.  This Saturday and Sunday we will be at the Grove City High School Arts and Craft Show.  With it being two days we are really hoping for a great success and many contacts.  Our product is still very well received and I don't think I will understand anyone that tells us that they will never need any survival tool ever!  Okay, I hope that works for them.  This last week we received three online orders and that means that our name is getting out there.  I emailed each of them to find out how they heard of us and they are finding us on the web and that our prices can't be beat!  Also, one person stated that they liked one of our "cool" designs.  This is what it is all about.  However, beyond that, the right price and the right design, it is about having a survival tool with you ALWAYS.  I hope to see some of you this weekend!

We just finished up at the Springfield High School Band Boosters Arts & Craft Show today.  It was truly a disappointment in sales.  However, you just never know who you talked to or who received a business card that will turn your business adventure around and head it in a profitable direction.  So, we will continue to attend the scheduled shows and do our best.  This week I need to follow-up on past contacts and begin looking for more shows to attend.  If anyone knows of a boy scout troop or girl scout troop that would like to have us give an instructional workshop on our bracelets, please let us know.  Until then, the business is still moving forward.  Have a great week everyone and stay safe.  Remember your paracord!

Hello All!  Another show finished in KY.  We have just reserved a vendor spot at the Columbus RV Super Show in March.  This is all really exciting!  Also, on the phone today, I booked us into two resorts in the Berkshire Mountains of MA to do activity and sales of our product.  Things just keep growing and sometimes we wonder where it will go.  Until that time we just keep showing up at shows, talking with people and sharing a great survival product with them.  One of our most memorable events from the Northern KY Show is the a veteran by the name of Jack.  Ray made him a watchband for his watch and he picked it up on Sunday morning.  He is so excited about the product that he will be talking with the veteran activities about our company attending some of their scheduled events and selling our product.  Again Ray and I heard numerous stories about how paracord was and has been used in our military.  Next Sunday we will be at the Springfield High School Arts and Craft Fair from 10am - 4pm.  We hope to see you there!  Thank you again for your support.

Hello all!  It has been a long weekend so far.  Ray has given me his cold and I am really struggling through completing this show.  The crowd finally turned out today and we finished well.  One of my most memorable events today is the 9 year old boy who came to our booth, knew everything there was about military colors, heard Ray explain the concept of the survival bracelets and wanted one.  However, Mom thought a little differenty until much later when they returned.  When we tried to get the right fit for his bracelet, the small was too big and the extra small was too small.  So, Ray took apart one of our large bracelets and made it into a bracelet that would fit him.  He was so thrilled and it thrilled us to see him.  He watched Ray braid the bracelet and finish it.  He kept telling everyone that he was going into the military when he was old enough.  Wow, can you imagine a nine year old with his dream of going into the military to fight for our country?  That was our blessing for the day today.  I hope everyone is surving the weather.  We have decided to participate in the Columbus RV Super Show at the fairgrounds.  See you there!

We are set up in Covington, KY for the Northern KY Camper Show.  This will definitely be different as we are actually right in with the campers and rv's.  Every show has just a little something different.  If you have the opportunity, please visit this show.  The promoters are great and I would love to watch one of you try out the mechanical surf board.  Check out the website for this show.  There is a link on our Calendar Page.  If all goes well, we hope to attend the Columbus RV Super Show.  This will make us busy every weekend during the month of March and that's not bad.  I'm just glad that we have the week to catch up.  Just a note of thanks to Megan and Rob and the Odyssey family!  You guys are awesome!  Hope to hear from you soon.

Headed for KY! 02/22/2010

Hello to all of our friends, family and especially to our customers!  We are still really excited about the response we are receiving from our attendance at rv and boat shows.  The most recent show we attended just ended yesterday in Dayton.  Next weekend we will be in Covington, KY for the Northern KY Camper Show.  Our association with Odyssey Events and Promotions has been awesome.  They are a great group of people to work with.  Their shows are always filled with a full venue of fun, information, new ideas, and of course, new items to buy such as boats, rv's, equipment, etc.  We would highly recommend attending any of their shows located throughout Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Texas, and the Gulf Coast.
Be sure to always check out our calendar of events page as I am constantly updating it to reflect our ever changing schedule.
We have again met some wonderful people at each of the shows that we have attended.  My heart especially goes out to our Vietnam Veterans again.  You guys are awesome and always so willing to share your stories with us about how you used paracord.
See you at the next show!

Hello to all of our great business supporters, family and friends.  Another show has been completed and we did survive the snow storm.  We just finished attending the Cincinnati RV Super Show in Mason, Ohio and it was a great show.  We met many of you who had saw us at the Dayton RV Show and you picked up more bracelets or bought the one that you forgot to pick up at the past show.  Next Wednesday we will be setting up for the Dayton Boat Super Show back at the Airport Expo Center.  We have also been scheduled to conduct instructional workshops at the Twin Lakes Park, a family campground, in Bluffton, Ohio on June 12 at 3:00 p.m.  Thousand Trails would like us to conduct a workshop during Memorial Day and that has yet to be finalized.  We spoke to a very interested scout leader that would like us to bring stock and have each one of their scouts make a bracelet as they will be soon going on a multi day hiking trip.  I also signed us up to attend the Springfield High School Music Booters' Quality Craft Show on Sunday, March 7, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  We added a calendar page to our site so that you can find us wherever we go and purchase more bracelets.  Remember that when we attend a show, we include the taxes in the price of the bracelet.  If you have any ideas of places that you think would be a good place for us to attend and sell our items, please let us know.  We would really appreciate any information that you can offer.  Thanks again for supporting us and we hope to see you at the next show.  Remember you can always order online.

Hello to all.  We continue to get ready for our next show.  Many people have encouraged us to continue growing our company.  However, where do we turn to next?  Are there grants available for new companies?  Are the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts interested?  We would like to show the bracelets with them so that they could learn how to make the items and complete any badge work requirements at the same time.  Our next show is next weekend in Mason, Ohio at the Cincinnati RV Super Show.  I have posted a link to a discount coupon if you are interested.  We have also been invited to attend the Dayton Boat Show in March at the Airport Expo Center.  It's a little quiet now, we would love for business to pick up but we are trying to be patient.  Thanks to all of you who have already supported us.  Hope to see you again soon!

This weekend at the Dayton RV Supershow was awesome and tiring but we made some great contacts and our business is growing.  One of our most memorable stories was from a past Vietnam War Veteran who was a crew chief on a Marine search and rescue helicopter.  A Navy plane had gone down in North Vietnam and the pilots tried to tell them that they were directly beneath them but they were unable to locate them.  The pilots attached paracord to a pocket flare and fired it into the air.  The crew on his helicopter followed the attached paracord down to the tree tops and located the crew.  The pilots were rescued and also used their paracord to lift their survival gear up and into the helicopter once they were onboard.  What an awesome way to hear how 550 paracord had saved a life.

We are headed to the Cincinnati RV Show in Mason, Ohio the first weekend in February and to the Dayton Boat Show the third weekend in February.

See you there and thanks for supporting our growing company.
