What an interesting year! 12/13/2011
So we are just about finished with another year. It has been exciting with the different shows we have been to and the new colors that we have added to our stock. At the end of this year we now have 63 colors to choose from and 13 reflective colors! You will want to always have at least one of our reflective bracelets or key chains with you for safety. However, our biggest seller this year has been the "monkey fists". What a great way to have some protection with you while just carrying your keys with you. The 3/4" steel ball inside this item makes it a great tool to carry with you for protection as you need it. You still have time to order your items for Christmas presents and have them shipped to you. We will do everything we can to make sure you have your item in time for Christmas! We hope everyone is having a wonderful time and enjoying the season. I would love to hear from you Add Comment Almost another year finished... 12/04/2010
Hi everyone! It is finally December and our first full calendar year is nearly complete. We have had many new ideas and visited many new events. There has been everything to instructional workshops for the scouts to creating a new bracelet for our Vietnam Veterans to mimic their ribbon. Yet still, I feel we are still so far from accomplishing our big picture of our business. Thank you to all of you that have supported us and continue supporting us. We look forward to seeing you in the new year. Keep in touch and remember, it is better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it! See you in 2011! So this week I need to create a flyer to send to our customers. I really need to concentrate on emailing them as it will save a lot of money. However, I have some customers that will be best to contact by US Mail. We are getting ready for a month of craft shows. I know it will be busy but I am so ready for it. I hope you will let me know how you are doing and how you like your bracelets and especially our new design. Have a really good day today! We want to support the Vietnam Veterans 10/05/2010
Today we have created a new 3 weave bracelet with 3 colors to reflect the Vietnam Ribbon. It is awesome and we are excited about where this will go. The most important thing to us is that the veterans had asked us for this bracelet to be created from paracord and we have answered with a positive "yes". So watch our site for the upcoming sale of these new bracelets and key chains. They are time consuming to create but well worth the work to show our Vietnam Veterans that we love them and appreciate what they did for us and our country. Waiting.... 04/19/2010
Hello everyone. We are now in the phase of waiting until more orders arrive or we attend our next scheduled event. April is slow but this will give us a chance to catch up on the business. We are expecting our watch faces this week and then we will begin creating and manufacturing watches with paracord bands for you to purchase. This is really exciting because we have had many that have been interested in this product and we have been unable to provide this to them. Now, we have listened to our customers and will be providing the watches. Order your watch soon so you will be one of the first to have one! Our next event will not be until the end of May unless something else comes up. We were hoping for more boy scout troops to schedule workshops but at this time, we have only had one troop in Columbus and they had an awesome time. They will be taking their new survival bracelets with them on their next trip camping. Well, until later, take care and post your comments. See you soon! Headed to Grove City High School 03/16/2010
Hello to everyone! This last weekend in Columbus at the RV Show was fun, exciting, and tiring. It was a good show and we are really glad that we have participated in the Odyssey Events over the last three months. We wish them well in their continued success of their business. Now, for us, continue on to our next craft show. This Saturday and Sunday we will be at the Grove City High School Arts and Craft Show. With it being two days we are really hoping for a great success and many contacts. Our product is still very well received and I don't think I will understand anyone that tells us that they will never need any survival tool ever! Okay, I hope that works for them. This last week we received three online orders and that means that our name is getting out there. I emailed each of them to find out how they heard of us and they are finding us on the web and that our prices can't be beat! Also, one person stated that they liked one of our "cool" designs. This is what it is all about. However, beyond that, the right price and the right design, it is about having a survival tool with you ALWAYS. I hope to see some of you this weekend! Disappointed in Springfield 03/07/2010
We just finished up at the Springfield High School Band Boosters Arts & Craft Show today. It was truly a disappointment in sales. However, you just never know who you talked to or who received a business card that will turn your business adventure around and head it in a profitable direction. So, we will continue to attend the scheduled shows and do our best. This week I need to follow-up on past contacts and begin looking for more shows to attend. If anyone knows of a boy scout troop or girl scout troop that would like to have us give an instructional workshop on our bracelets, please let us know. Until then, the business is still moving forward. Have a great week everyone and stay safe. Remember your paracord! Headed to the Columbus RV Super Show 03/01/2010
Hello All! Another show finished in KY. We have just reserved a vendor spot at the Columbus RV Super Show in March. This is all really exciting! Also, on the phone today, I booked us into two resorts in the Berkshire Mountains of MA to do activity and sales of our product. Things just keep growing and sometimes we wonder where it will go. Until that time we just keep showing up at shows, talking with people and sharing a great survival product with them. One of our most memorable events from the Northern KY Show is the a veteran by the name of Jack. Ray made him a watchband for his watch and he picked it up on Sunday morning. He is so excited about the product that he will be talking with the veteran activities about our company attending some of their scheduled events and selling our product. Again Ray and I heard numerous stories about how paracord was and has been used in our military. Next Sunday we will be at the Springfield High School Arts and Craft Fair from 10am - 4pm. We hope to see you there! Thank you again for your support. Two days down, one more to go.. 02/27/2010
Hello all! It has been a long weekend so far. Ray has given me his cold and I am really struggling through completing this show. The crowd finally turned out today and we finished well. One of my most memorable events today is the 9 year old boy who came to our booth, knew everything there was about military colors, heard Ray explain the concept of the survival bracelets and wanted one. However, Mom thought a little differenty until much later when they returned. When we tried to get the right fit for his bracelet, the small was too big and the extra small was too small. So, Ray took apart one of our large bracelets and made it into a bracelet that would fit him. He was so thrilled and it thrilled us to see him. He watched Ray braid the bracelet and finish it. He kept telling everyone that he was going into the military when he was old enough. Wow, can you imagine a nine year old with his dream of going into the military to fight for our country? That was our blessing for the day today. I hope everyone is surving the weather. We have decided to participate in the Columbus RV Super Show at the fairgrounds. See you there! All set up and ready to go! 02/25/2010
We are set up in Covington, KY for the Northern KY Camper Show. This will definitely be different as we are actually right in with the campers and rv's. Every show has just a little something different. If you have the opportunity, please visit this show. The promoters are great and I would love to watch one of you try out the mechanical surf board. Check out the website for this show. There is a link on our Calendar Page. If all goes well, we hope to attend the Columbus RV Super Show. This will make us busy every weekend during the month of March and that's not bad. I'm just glad that we have the week to catch up. Just a note of thanks to Megan and Rob and the Odyssey family! You guys are awesome! Hope to hear from you soon. |
